Surely you've been to many places where it’s served paella. But is this the authentic paella of Valencia? It was born in the orchards of Valencia (Spain), where farmers put their vegetables, rabbit and chicken meat and rice from Valencia. In essence, this is a paella, not to mention a good extra virgin olive oil, saffron and paprika. Do you want to learn to cook it? Amparo teaches you how it’s done traditionally, completely away from the tourist clichés.
To enjoy our paella in the field you should come to our farmhouse, collect seasonal vegetables you will use later to cook and then we teach you how it’s done and how we do it. To arrive at our farm we can send you the coordinates, or we can pick you up in the town of Xàtiva (reached by train from Valencia) for 10€ plus, or in Valencia, on a 30€ plus (final price per group of 4 people).
Normally we organize meals for a minimum of two people. The price includes the paella as a main dish, but also includes typical appetizers or tapas from Valencia, salad, drinks (sangria or wine), dessert and coffee or herb teas such as orange blossom.

Hello, I'm Amparo! I've been living on my family farm since childhood, and I left it only when I had to study in the city of Valencia. Then I started to travel all around the country. After that, I started to teach young people Spanish and Catalan grammar and finally I returned to my home town because I realized that what really fascinates me is being in touch with nature. From my ancestors I learned many things that I don’t want to lose and that’s why I love being able to convey all this knowledge to anyone interested in. I love growing my own fruits and vegetables and cook them in order to enjoy a great meal with a good company. In my spare time, I like to sew and embroider, but also knit and crochet and I make my own soaps (Castile Soap) with extra virgin olive oil (in cold process), as used to be done in the past. Feel free to contact me for any questions, whether you are creative, curious or you just want to learn a little of my knowledge. Regards, Amparo Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
