Experience Guidelines
Vayable welcomes experiences from all types of people in the community--locals, visitors, explorers, seasoned explorers, experienced guides, merchants, organizations, and small businesses—as long as the experience or activity respects the local community as well as its visitors.
Experiences that violate these guidelines will be removed. If you have questions please contact us.
1. No experiences that exploit, destroy or endanger destinations, their inhabitants or their visitors. This includes any illegal activities, activities that are particularly harmful to the environment and local ecosystems, and illegal or unjust transactions.
2. No experiences that aim to coerce or convert. While cause and religious or mission-based activities are welcome on Vayable, the platform will not tolerate experiences that aim to coerce or convert users.
Community Guidelines
Vayable relies on respectful interactions to ensure a friendly and open environment. Please note our guidelines below.
Share your experience with the world, but please don’t spam them.
Be kind and respectful of others in the community.
Please don't post anything obscene or hateful on the site. If you do we will remove it and suspend you.
Please make sure you own the rights to the content you post, including photos, videos and descriptions.
Cancellation Policies
Vayable provides cancellation policies to protect both explorers and guides using the site. Explorers must cancel their trips by emailing community support.
Explorers must receive a confirmation email from Vayable in order for the cancellation to be honored. If explorers have not received this email, they should contact community support. The Vayable service fee is non-refundable for all cancellations made by the explorers.
If a guide cancels, explorers will receive a full refund including all fees paid to Vayable.
Formal complaints from explorers or guides should be submitted in writing to community support within 24 hours of the start date and time of the trip. Vayable will attempt (but is not obligated) to resolve conflicts when appropriate.
Standard Cancellation Policy
Explorer Cancellations
- 5+ days before the experience begins. Explorers will receive a 100% refund, minus fees. Cancellations must be made 5 full days in advance; in other words, prior to 12:00 AM local time on the date the experience or trip is scheduled to begin.
- Less than 5 days but more than 24 hours before the experience begins. Explorers will receive a 50% refund, minus fees.
- Less than 24 hours before the experience begins, arrives more than 15 minutes late, or begins the experience or trip and decides to leave early. The entire experience or trip cost is non-refundable.
All experiences default to the Standard cancellation policy. We understand, however, that some unique experiences require a higher level of protection due to the nature of the experience and the expenses involved. Those requiring this strict cancellation policy may request it by contacting community support.
Strict Cancellation Policy (By special request only.)
Explorer Cancellations
- 30+ days before the experience begins. Explorers will receive a 100% refund, minus fees. Cancellations must be made 30 full days in advance; in other words, prior to 12:00 AM local time on the date the trip is scheduled to begin.
- Less than 30 days or begins the trip and decides to leave early. The entire trip cost is non-refundable.
Weather Policy
If the experience is weather dependent and the weather prevents the experience from happening on the day of the experience, the guide and explorer can choose to reschedule the experience. If rescheduling is not possible, the explorer will receive a full refund upon emailing community support.
