Can't seem to get writing done? Lacking inspiration? A literary day is what you need! Day, evening, or all day. Start with writing exercises, then an optional writer's meditation, then some serious nose to the keyboard, finally an optional sharing of work in the last forty minutes.
The venue is a real Manhattan corner apartment with two side of views. There is a large work table with plenty of outlets. No internet allowed! That is the secret of Jonathon Frantzen. After the mediation there will be unlimited coffee or tea.
For an evening retreat, there will be an option to add wine ($5/glass) either during the retreat or during the readings.
Bring your laptop and we will get to work.
This retreat is run by a novelist and experienced yoga instructor who specializes in meditation training.
I am a writer. I am a meditator. I went to India to become a yoga instructor. I found that meditating was my strongest suit. And that it makes the words appear on the page as if I were not even there. I think old-fashioned writing exercises make bring the story out too. I combine them both. I am also a professional proofreader and editor. I would love to bring you to my favorite writing spots in this very literary city, and let your words flow too. Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
