One of the great things about Paris is shopping. It is the fashion capital of the world! Finding that special article of clothing, piece of jewelry or home decor piece that you'll never see anywhere back home is a story you'll tell for years to come. There are so many beautiful boutiques specializing in vintage clothing, whatever you can imagine, it's here in Paris. Concept stores are new on the scene here and I will introduce you to the best of them. We will then go to lovely cafés, chic bistros in some of the most fashionable neighborhoods in Paris. Don't worry, you won't need to max out your credit card. The French don't really buy a lot of things, they search the city far and wide before choosing their heart's desire and I suggest that you do the same. The fun is in the browsing or the hunt along the charming streets in the Marais or in St. Germain des Prés. Take your time to see what Paris has to offer one boutique and one neighborhood at a time.
One of my favorite neighborhoods is Le Marais. Le Marais and especially the upper Marais has become THE neighborhood in terms of chic new shops or perfect markets like Le Marché des Enfant Rouges which serves food from around the world, there are galleries and bookstores to explore as well. The Marais is not only known for its beautiful clothing boutiques but also for its laid-back attitude. Browsing, shopping and eating is a must at Merci. Fashion editors as well as curious tourists always make time to visit Merci, the most elegant and bohemian chic concept store in all of Paris. Le Place des Vosges is perfect for people watching and just for thanking your lucky stars that you're in Paris and in such a beautiful park. So many places and neighborhoods to see and I will help you see as much of it as your eyes, mind and feet can bare! I will help you find what you're looking for in Paris. Paris will leave you breathless!
Hello everyone! My name is Felicia Shelton and I have lived in Paris for quite some time, off and on through out the years. Paris is home for so many reasons: there is an abundance of art, various cultures, amazing design and French cuisine alone will make you want to stay here on sabbatical for at least a year. I have made friends here as well as established long-lasting business relationships. The latter has helped me immensely in knowing more about Paris than the average French citizen, let alone, foreigner. I have also lived in Sweden. I want to see something different, so I headed for Asia. I just recently discovered a part of Asia by spending three years in Seoul, South Korea. Seoul, like Paris, remains close to my heart. I work as a freelance published photographer, blogger and journalist. My work as an interior design photographer can be seen in the book, The Interior World of Tom Dixon and the upcoming book with Aphrochic (Random House) debuting Fall 2013. I continue to shoot and write about design and fashion both here in Paris and abroad. I know all of the best boutiques, their neighboring cafés and restaurants in Paris.
