Alberto offers a journey into the Uruguay of 1930 by taking a self-designed and established route that covers well-known but mostly rarely-visited sites in 3 hours. We'll meet at la Puerta de la Ciudadela on la Plaza Independencia, then follow the route of the old walled city. Admire the wide Rio de la Plata. You'll taste mate, see artists painting in watercolor at the Mercado del Puerto and relive la Ciudad Vieja as people did during its golden age.

I would strongly recommend Alberto's tours. His passion for the city history & culture makes for a very rich yet accessible experience. Alberto was very patient during the planning stages and accommodated all of our requests. I'd definitely use his services again.

Alberto gave me a fabulous tour of the Ciudad Vieja and other areas around downtown Montevideo. He definitely knew his stuff and gave me a lot of context on how certain buildings, areas, and communities came to me. We also shopped at the local market and he brought mate tea for us to share in the park. I didn't notice that our tour had gone on an extra half hour, as well, and Alberto gave me tips on other places I could visit after (which I did). Overall I really enjoyed myself. Alberto translated for me, and also gave me options on what I wanted to see throughout the experience. He responded very quickly to my messages as well.
