Awesome, Awesome, Awesome Tour. So worth it. Got us comfortable with the city-so we weren't scared to go and get lost in it :) Thanks Anne!!!
I was thrilled to re-connect with Anne in Paris again. We met last year for a fun day when I was in Paris on my own for business and I was excited to spend the day with her again on our recent family trip to Paris. We covered lots of interesting places that I'd never find on my own and it was like meeting up with an old friend in Paris!
We had a wonderful afternoon with Anne on the Navigate Paris tour. I provided her with a list of our interests and past experiences and she delivered the perfect tour for us! This included an overview of Paris and how to use the metro. Her e-mail follow-up of our tour was a great addition. I would recommend Anne for a first time or returning visitor to Paris. Thanks again Anne!!!
hi Anne, How are you?
We had a lovely time navigating Paris with Anne. Even though we were tired after our long flight, we enjoyed our time with Anne. She was on time waiting for us at our hotel. She gave us a general introduction of Paris with their districts and off we went. The 3 hours was spent on walking a few interesting areas around our hotel, and she took us on a metro ride to show us how to navigate ourselves with the Paris superb metro system. After the tour Anne recapped in an email of what we did and give us more tips, websites and info. We find them very helpful. I will recommend first time visitor to Paris to take this tour. Thank you Anne, we had a lovely time in Paris.
Anne was very insightful and completely helpful in understanding and negotiating Paris! It was well worth the time as she basically took us in hand and shows us the sights. I absolutely would recommend Anne! Mike
Anne did a great job. She is personable, knowledgable and efficient. She had arranged her tour with us to touch on our interests. This was a great re-introduction to Paris, and we learned some very helpful things that we had not known before.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with Anne. It was our first time visiting Paris and neither of us speak the language. Spending several hours with Anne put our fears and concerns to rest. We loved our time in Paris, and I think Navigating Paris with Anne was a great way to begin our trip.
This was such a wonderful way to get a feel for the city. For anyone interested in finding all of the hidden gems of Paris food, art, and culture, this is the tour for you. Anne was so helpful and gave great, honest advice about the different neighborhoods of Paris. She knows the things that travel books won't tell you! All around awesome time.
My husband and I recently spent three days in Paris. We wanted to make the most of our time so I booked a tour with Anne. From start to finish, Anne was professional, available, and extremely knowledgeable about all things Paris! We wanted her to point tour us around neighborhoods we might not find given our limited time in the city and she did just that. We walked through charming covered passage ways, had a snack in a garden cafe, took time to stop in a few shops (chocolate and olive oil, two of my favorite finds!), and became familiar enough with just being in Paris that we were able to make the most of the rest of our time there. Anne also emailed us after our tour with reminders of what we'd done and seen and suggestions for additional activities we might enjoy. I would highly recommend the Navigate Paris tour! Thanks, Anne. :-) -Karin and Bart, Boston, MA
We had a great time with Anne on our tour! She's so knowledgeable about the city, easy to be around, and ridiculously helpful, especially for Paris newbies like us. She helped us figure out the metro, buy tickets - and sweets! - en français, and pointed out a ton of places that we wanted to explore and experience. We had a blast... thanks, Anne!
What a wonderful service Anne provides! She thoughtfully queried our interests and goals for Paris and tailored our tour accordingly. Truthfully, after hauling our exhausted sleep deprived bodies into our Paris rental, I think we might have been content to sleep the next week away, intimidated as we felt at the prospect of tackling the mystery of Paris. But Anne coaxed us out, meeting us in front of our apartment the next morning. She showed us the most interesting way to explore our immediate neighborhood, revealing a narrow multi-block covered passage that we would never have found on our own. She pointed out wonderfully eccentric storefronts and great neighborhood food vendors and she gave us indispensable tips. Then she helped us learn the Metro system, showing us the nearest portals and actually taking us into other arrondissements where she continued the lessons of exploring Paris. We started feeling safe, like we could do this; we weren't afraid anymore. Sure that we had enough information and skills to make it back to our apartment, Anne left us happily eating wonderful food at a corner cafe feeling confident in our own new navigating muscles.
This half day was a great way to experience a bit of Paris in some depth, and then feel comfortable to go out and enjoy more of it it. Anne is a great guide. She covered the areas of interest I had nominated before the visit well, and really did help with the navigating Paris. I saw laneways, secret little spaces, and some lovely living walls (green spaces). Anne also introduced me to galleries and good coffee shops away from the crowds. The concepts a great one. I feel I am seeing more of Paris, because I know a bit more about what to look for as I endlessly wander the streets.
After thoroughly enjoying the wonderful advice and stories Anne shares on her blog Pret a Voyager, I decided at the last minute to book a walk. I had suggested an end destination for our walk and Anne timed the morning perfectly to finish right where I wanted to be! On our walk through the 3rd, 10th and 9th arrondissements, I chose the areas I wanted to explore and left the rest to Anne, there was a lovely balance of traditional Paris, such as the markets and canal, and newer 'hipper' design stores, cafes and revamped streets. Anne definitely has her finger on the pulse of what's happening and who's doing what across the design and food scenes in Paris and I loved the stories about the events and people Anne knows and works with in Paris. To cap off our walking adventure I received a recap of where we went and what we saw via email the same evening, which also contained extra ideas of places to visit and enjoy for meals for the rest of my stay in Paris. I'd recommend both Anne's blog Pret a Voyager for all manner of information, ideas and stories about life in Paris as well as her walking tour for that off the beaten track unique vacation experience. Thanks so much for a fun morning Anne and all the best for your continuing Paris adventure, I'll be reading along!
We did a walking tour of St. Germaine & the Marais with Anne. She met us at the our hotel, with a warning in advance that we should bring umbrellas. We saw a ton of sites in the neighborhoods, zipped around in the Metro, and got a bunch of recommendations on what we should do for the rest of our trip. I think my favorite was the hidden gems- the tiny eclair shop, a little gallery down an alley, and the neighborhood bistro with one of the most delicious meals on our trip. I would definitely recommend Anne to other visitors!
What a wonderful way to see Paris--thru the experienced and passionate lens of Anne D. Correspondence was excellent and her customized tour design right on target. Especially appreciated was her focus and engagement on our nine year old first-time visitors. Anne is charming, smart and extremely flexible. Recommend highly for first-time or Paris savants.
Anne was everything we needed on our first trip to Paris and more! Without our three hours early on with her, our trip would not have run so smoothly. She showed us so many wonderful things we would never have thought to seek. Because of her informative tips and advice, we became experts on the metro. After our tour, Anne sent us that great recap about which everyone raves, in addition to a list of fantastic dining spots. Thanks so much Anne!
Anne is so wonderful! We had such a good time walking around the city with her. I was blown away by the beautiful Saint Etienne du Mont and "the Midnight in Paris Steps." I know my friends really enjoyed the Bastille Market (I did too!), but my favorite part was du thé at the Grande Mosquée. Anne was a study abroad student too, so she knew all about where to go in the city for students. Really can't recommend her tour enough. One of the best Sundays de ma vie :)
Our tour with Anne was an ideal introduction to Paris. She was helpful, kind, interesting and very knowledgeable of the city. The tour was perfect for everyone in our group (2 adults and 2 kids), taking in several sites, shops and restaurants as well as a few streets that we would not have found without Anne. If it is your first trip to Paris...or even your 15th...I would absolutely recommend a tour with Anne.
Anne was a FABULOUS guide during my recent quick trip to Paris. I needed somebody who'd give me a taste of the highlights and get me situated for a day on my own. She came to meet me at my hotel and met some of my colleagues and helped them make some plans also - she was so relaxed and sweet that they mistakenly thought she was a friend of mine. Anne got to know me and gave me some great suggestions to tailor my plans for the next day and we had fun walking and taking the metro around for the remainder of our time together. It was raining, but she was unflappable about making the most of our time, which I appreciated. Anne is well connected in the city and seems to know lots of interesting people, so her tour had a real insider feel. I'd highly recommend this well qualified Vayable guide!
