If so this tour is for you and you should bring camera phone or camera (DSLR, point and shoots, or SLR welcome), we explore the murals and art destinations in the Mission District. We'll explore the nooks and crannies of the neighborhood along with its layered cultural histories, stop at some local bakeries, carnicerias, and juice shops along the way. We'll end with some amazing photographs of the Mission and will cap of time together with a visit to Creativity Explored.
Raised between The Town (Oakland) and The City (San Francisco) , Katherin Canton Titus envisions an arts-centered healthy metropolis to call home. Earning a Bachelors of Fine Arts with highest distinctions from California College of the Arts (San Francisco/Oakland) she explored community arts through a studio practice in photography and textiles. Putting theory to practice during her stay at CCA, Katherin took the reigns as the administrative and community collaborations coordinator at the volunteer-run arts center Rock Paper Scissors Collective. Developing her teaching practice and community engagement in the arts, Katherin has also worked in youth development as a teaching artist with Out of Site and Southern Exposure's Mission Voices summer program as an artist assistant. Currently, Katherin is the Administrative Gallery Coordinator at Pro Arts, Oakland, Ca and a new Board member for Rock Paper Scissors Collective, Oakland, Ca.
