Magical Motorcycle Tour of Chicago
Details
Walking tours are fun, but the best way to get a very unique and very local look at Chicago is from a bike!! On two wheels we can cover a lot of ground in a little time, and still stay connected to the life and action of the streets.
Listen to me talk trivia about the interesting architecture, art and history of the city, or tell me to shut up and just drink in the view -- it's your choice!
This experience is a special one and (sorry! but) until I recruit another motorcyclist to help give tours, it's for one person only -- so it's good for adventurous types, whether solo travelers or just anybody who wants to get away from their group for a while and explore town with a local.
A little fresh air and freedom is what summer in the city is all about! Ride with me and you'll see what you can't on a double-decker bus -- the city's sidestreets, shortcuts, hidden gems and historic neighborhoods!
Itinerary
Improv! No, I don't mean like a comedy show -- I mean we're going wherever we feel like, and can make it up or change it up en route! An interesting time or your money back!!
If you have special interests, say in architecture, prohibition gangster sites, movie locations, great restaurants and bars, or whatever, just say so and I'll be ready to take you to some! Otherwise we'll just visit a mix of all these, as traffic and whim direct us.
A sample itinerary might go something like this: from the River North neighborhood down along LaSalle Street past some of the iconic Art Deco skyscrapers of yesteryear, then toward Buckingham Fountain and the Bean to Lakeshore Drive, for a beautiful ride along the lake up to Lincoln Park and the site of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Then out to Wicker Park, heart of the city's indie night life!
