San Francisco, California

Evening Chinatown Tour

with Grace Ann W.

We visit a Buddhist monastery, a unique musical instrument store, a Fortune cookie factory, have a taste of dim sum, go to an herbalist and enjoy a tea tasting. I impart the history of the Chinese community. This tour starts at 4:00. At 6:30 pm we will stroll to my favorite white-tablecloth Chinese restaurant in Chinatown (Obama was there last year.) and enjoy a banquet that includes: seafood, Peking duck, salt and pepper pork chops and fried rice. The starter, a spectacular Winter melon soup is steamed for 24 hours.

This tour starts at 4:00. We meet at the corner of Sacramento & Grant.

Park at Portsmouth Square garage and walk up.
