Explore Wonders of Central North Island

This is an experience that you will never forget. Visit the majestic landscapes of the central north island, from limestone caves to active volcanoes, waterfalls to thermal wonderlands. So good they played a key roll in the filming of the 'Lord Of The Rings' and 'The Hobbit' trilogies.

Our trip will begin in Hamilton City, only 2 hours south of Auckland, accessible by public transport ($10-$20). We will then head down to the famous Waitomo Limestone Caves where you will experience amazing variations of limestone structures deep underground, followed by a floating view of the glowworms above. (Entry Fee NZ$49)

Next we head down through some amazing native bush to the mighty Tongariro National park, with its defining mountains made famous by Lord Of The Rings. We can take a scenic chairlift ride up the mountain with the option for a 2-3 hour hike to the large crater lake that sits in the middle of Mt Ruapehu. (Chairlift Fee NZ$30)

We then head to Taupo where we stay the night to prepare for the next day of adventures starting with a visit to the massive Huka falls, and Aratiatia rapids. (Accommodation costs start from $30 per-person)

Next we drive up to the thermal wonderland that is the Rotorua regions, visiting bubbling mud pools, hot springs and crystal clear lakes. There you also have the option of many adventure activities such as the Luge, Zorb or Bungie Jumping.

The price of this experience covers the private transport and my guiding services, activities may carry additional cost payable to the operator and can range from NZ$50-$150 each, please let me know if you would like a pricing on each activity.
Customisation is available and trips can be extended to include additional attractions/activities if required.
